During those three years of training at the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard, professionals taught me techniques, opened my eyes on what surrounds us, brought me a critical view on things and gave me the means to move forward in this constantly evolving environment. Computer graphics is a highly specialized and very varied field; this is why it is essential for this training to rely on a complete and continuously renewed computer equipment and on competent teachers, which are two assets of the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard.
The courses allow us to create, and we can express our creativity in workshops. The training gives us the opportunity to approach all fields of computer graphics, i.e. 3D, web & multimedia and prepress. Everyone then has to bring their know-how and their feelings, to take the way they want by choosing a personal project through which they can blossom in their job.
The last year takes place in three stages: a 3-month work placement in a real working environment, the creation and follow-up of the final project and in the end, the jury in front of which we defend our final project. At the end of this training students are thus ready to enter working life with high-level technical skills.
I graduated in June 2006 and I’m ready to move to work for 3 months at Minale Design Strategy, an important design and graphic design agency in Paris. This experience will undoubtedly be very enriching and I have to thank my training in Namur to give me the chance to get there.
I didn’t know anything about this world when I came to the HEAJ, but I’m now leaving this school grown up and full of passion for graphic design.
